Technical Features for Celestron NexStar Evolution 8"
The Celestron 12091 is a 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with premium StarBright XLT coatings and fully computerized GoTo mount with high-performance brass worm gears and motors for improved tracking accuracy.
The light transmission is increased throughout the entire optical path with anti-reflection multicoated lenses, highly reflective multicoated mirrors and 4-element rare-earth glass.
The smart device can be connected to the telescope via direct WiFi connection and expands the capabilities and functionality.
The Celestron 12091 features Multi-layer mirror coatings made from layers of aluminum, SiO2 (quartz), TiO2 (titanium dioxide), and Si02 (silicon dioxide). The reflectivity is flat across the light spectrum for both astrophotography/astroimaging and visual observation.
It has a long life lithium-ion phosphate battery providing up to 10 hours of continual use on a single charge. The system has a tray which keeps accessories and equipment safe and organized and no tools required to set up mount and tripod.
