Technical Features for Celestron CGX 800

The Celestron RASA CGX 800 is a 8-inch Rowe-Ackermann Schmidt astrograph telescope that has flat field free of optical aberrations like coma, field curvature and astigmatism. It features fast, wide-field f/2 system with 2 advantages, better apparent tracking and shorter exposures. The 22 mm optimized image circle maintains pinpoint stars to the far corners of even the largest astroimaging sensors, while the usable field extends even further to 32 mm for larger format sensors.

The Celestron RASA CGX 800 has custom engineered linear brass focuser bearing that reduces image shift. With optical limit switches, home sensors, through-mount cabling, and hard stops, this system is fully capable of Remote Imaging. The improved StarBright XLT multi-coating system, which includes anti-reflection coatings on the lenses and highly reflective coatings on the mirrors, increases light transmission throughout the entire optical path.
